An avid gamer and technophile, Micah Terry is an inventor with a diverse business background. Experiences run the gamut from opening a Cracker Barrel restaurant under the supervision of corporate trainers to operating his own small construction company. While working in the non-profit sector as a development director, he earned a fellowship with the University of Kentucky’s Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute. During that 16 month course of study, he travelled to meet innovators from all over the US in order to learn what it is that entrepreneurs need to understand before stepping out on their own. He learned to coach those who had an idea, but no idea on how to capitalize on it. He also learned to use an “appreciative approach” to determine and build upon what assets a region holds, rather than looking at its disadvantages. He also learned, both through the program of studies and his own business experience, that it is imperative to both build upon one’s own strengths and understand one’s own weaknesses to build a proper team to accomplish the goals one sets forth in business. With this new venture, he seeks to combine all of his gained knowledge into one thriving company that includes his love for all things Geek, food, drink, and economic development.
